FreshBooks is a cloud-based accounting software system that centers on invoice creation, time tracking and project management. Creating and setting up an account is effortless. Even using the software was relatively simple. I did not have to do much research as there were brief instructions on each page that outline how to work each feature. Kudos to FreshBooks for creating a simple, user friendly interface!
One of FreshBooks’ main feature is its ability to generate and email professional invoices to clients. It’s a breeze creating invoices that are tailored to the needs of your business as there are options that allow you to add your logo and customize invoice theme colors, templates and fonts. However, there were not many templates to choose from and FreshBooks can benefit from adding more customization features. On the right side of the invoice, you can even set up a late fee charge and choose from various currencies.
Tired of late payments and bugging clients to pay invoices on time? FreshBooks is the solution to your dilemma. It automatically emails reminders to your clients to pay on time during intervals that you can set up.
A cool aspect of FreshBooks invoices is that clients can directly pay with their credit cards right on the invoice! It makes getting paid easier for both you and your client. Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, Diner’s Club, and JCB are credit card payments that are accepted. You should note that there is a fee of 2.9% + $0.30 on card transactions, with the exception of higher cost of using American Express (3.5% + $0.30).
You can simply manage your spending using FreshBooks expense tracking feature. Rather than storing receipts into folders and rummaging through them, you can easily upload and attach a photo of the receipt to the expense, which you can easily do through the mobile app.
Business owners can get a feel of how well their business is doing with financial reports such as Sales Tax Summary, Accounts Aging, Invoice Details, and Expense Reports found in FreshBooks.
