We are excited to share this information about the launch of QuickBooks Desktop Point of Sale 18.0!
With Quickbooks Point of Sale 18.0, you will be able to:
- Take all forms of payments, including credit cards, debit cards, cash, and more. Plus, each payment is reconciled in QuickBooks.
- Choose how you want to ring sales. Its simple with Desktop Point of Sale. You can enter item names or numbers, use an optional barcode scanner, or a tablet. Plus, you can offer discounts and start building customer information for CRM.
- Manage your inventory by learning what your best sellers are and what you need to restock. QuickBooks updates your inventory with every transaction so you don’t have to do it manually.
Let’s take a look at some key highlights to look forward to!
Easier Access to Customer Information
You will now have additional customer details readily accessible, such as Account Balance, Available Credit, Notes and History on the Make a Sale screen. In the POS 12.0 you had to click on the More Info magnifying glass icon. Now you can skip that function and see your customer’s transaction history and available balance or credit.
Compatible Physical Inventory Scanner
We have tested CipherLab 8000 and CipherLab 8001 and brought them back to the list of compatible physical inventory scanners. Since they are both plug-and-play, it’s a lot easier to configure them with your Point of Sale software!
Point of Sale on Microsoft Surface® Pro
Quickbooks Desktop Point of Sale was tested successfully using the Microsoft Surface Pro. This 2-in-1 detachable device can be used separately as a tablet and as a laptop, and enables you to use Point of Sale on the go. Imagine being able to carry Point of Sale around the store at your own convenience.
