David Harmon
Founder & CEO

David is the founder of SoCo. He has more than twenty years of experience working with accounting software and system design. David is a certified Enrolled Agent with a B.S. in Accounting and an MBA. His unique approach to working as a team member with clients is unique among an industry noted for slow responses. David’s expertise is in business process analysis.  He is passionate about being on the cutting edge of the latest marketing techniques for growing organizations. What starts as a quick consult for many clients often evolves into a long-term relationship with some of the best entrepreneurial firms and small businesses in the country.


Sylvia Harmon
Vice President of Marketing and Social Media

Sylvia is Vice President of Marketing and Social Media. She is a native of Orange County, California. Sylvia has a track record of proven leadership in her community, so much that she recently graduated with honors from the Federal Executive Board’s Leadership Associate Program. Sylvia attended Cypress College and has a BS in Organizational Leadership from Azusa Pacific University. She manages digital marketing and social media for our company. Sylvia is a licensed life and health insurance agent with Harmon Insurance Services, Inc.


Natalie Noland

Natalie is a cloud accountant who specializes in tax prep, accounting, tech integration, and cloud-based software. Our clients love Natalie because of her unparalleled attention to detail and relentless dedication to their goals. She is originally from Sacramento but now resides in Costa Mesa. When she isn’t working, she can probably be found at the beach. Natalie has a diverse taste in music and an impeccable fashion sense.  She rocks the coolest glasses you’ll ever see!


Mary Frances Pickett
Tax Manager

Mary practiced as a CPA, specializing in tax, for seven years before leaving the profession to bootstrap an online cooking school and explore the US by RV with her young family. Now she’s back to help our small businesses with everything from taxes to cash flow to sales funnels. Mary is currently located on a large farm in Alabama where she can work from the back porch while her kids climb trees and play in the sprinkler.


Laurie Daugherty
Accountant and Enrolled Agent

Laurie started off as a receptionist at a small machine manufacturing company and worked with a team to help build it to a multi-million dollar corporation. She understands the importance of financial reporting as one of the driving forces in business success. In 1999 she earned her Enrolled Agent license to assist clients with tax prep and resolving IRS issues. She worked at a CPA firm and Trust Attorney office for eleven years, where she had the privilege of working with everything from small companies to large corporations. Laurie appreciates a good sense of humor, loves family, her miniature golden-doodle, and having fun playing video games with her nephew.


Nisha Sharma
Marketing Coordinator & Writer

Nisha is the marketing coordinator and content writer for SoCo. While she worked in healthcare for seven years and event planning for three, Nisha’s passion is to write. She loves working on a team with shared goals, work ethic, and positive attitudes. Nisha is a mother to a beautiful 3 year old girl named Alaina and a yellow labrador named Leila. In addition to blogging, Nisha also loves poetry, cooking, and playing piano. She currently resides in Eastvale, California.


Yumi Hernandez
Operations & Client Support Specialist

Yumi is the operations support specialist. She assists in the flow of the office, and makes sure to support our team and our clients. She previously managed a private health care practice for a Lung Specialist where she developed a Smoking Cessation Program and developed programs and fundraisers for higher education scholarships in her home town. She has experience working with startups and small business and acts as a liaison for our clients and team. She attended Cal Poly Pomona, and was born and raised in Southern California. Yumi has a love for technology, travel, and cooking. She has visited some amazing places and comes home with a little bite of the culture she has encountered. On her off days, she’s soaking up the sun, lounging with her lovable St. Bernard named Summer, and a her lazy Leopard Gecko named Rex!

Shaheryar is the Accounting Clerk for . He is a graduate from CSU, Long Beach holding a degree in Business Economics. While expanding on his accounting and forecasting skills, Shaheryar actively assists our clients in day to day accounting needs to ensure a smooth bookkeeping experience. Shaheryar loves to travel. In his free time, he enjoys hiking around SoCal, visiting far away destinations, and exploring nature’s beauty. Shaheryar also loves learning about different cultures.


Pierre Harmon
SoCo Tax Mascot

Pierre helps his Dad run SoCo Tax every day. He wakes him up in the morning and makes sure he gets his coffee. He gives him the remote control so he can turn on the stock market channel. He lays down on his Dad’s feet all day to make sure he stays nice and toasty, as he is giving his clients the ultimate customer service experience online or on the telephone. Pierre lets his Dad know when the mailman or FedEx guy has arrived so that he can receive his mail or his Dad can send something out ASAP. Pierre also lets his Dad know when it’s lunch time so that Dad doesn’t miss a meal, or Pierre for that matter.
